Ruines of the medieval castle of Montléans, built in the XIIIth century.

The Seigneurie was occupied by various noble families, notably the Seigneur de Beauvoir-de-Marc in the early 14th century and the de Maugiron family in the 16th century, who became Comte de Montléans in 1569. Richelieu ordered the destruction of all fortresses and castles in the Viennese region, and Château de Montléans was demolished in 1633, leaving nothing but ruins.
