The Comboire hill site in the communes of Claix and Seyssins is an island of nature high above the Grenoble urban area.
The many trails that criss-cross the site allow you to discover its southern flora, its oak forests, but also the alluvial forest on the banks of the Drac and the long limestone cliffs. These different environments are home to protected species such as the thurifer juniper, aster amelle and chicory-leaved biscutella. The cliffs are home to the famous European eagle-owl and peregrine falcon. Historical and cultural heritage is also well represented on the site, with the Comboire military fort.
