Chamrousse's new Himalayan footbridge, a must for all your Himalayan sensations!
A suspension bridge over the Casserousse couloir, accessible from La Croix in summer, and in winter (weather permitting).
Casserousse Himalayan footbridge in figures: 130 m long, 0.9 m wide and 25 m high, with a maximum gradient of 9.5%.
• In summer: part of the "Boucle du Panoramic Park de la Croix de Chamrousse" at the top of the resort, via the "Belledonne" pedestrian loop.
Access route: gondola > picnic area > Himalayan footbridge > Belledonne lookout > Himalayan footbridge > picnic area.
Good to know: if you're afraid of heights but still want to discover the Belledonne lookout, you can take the access path just below to avoid it.
• In winter: the Panoramic Park's star trails at the top of the resort at Croix de Chamrousse.
⚠ Mountain boots/snowboots with CRAMPONS (or SNOWSHOES) strongly recommended!
Access: gondola > picnic area > Himalayan footbridge > picnic area (and access to other facilities: Oisans belvedere, rooftop...)
Easy access to summit via La Croix gondola (fee payable):
- summer: daily in summer season (July-August) and weekends only in late June and September (subject to weather conditions)
- winter: daily in winter season (mid-December to mid-April) with ski pass or pedestrian pass (subject to weather conditions)

Winter opening (subject to weather and snow conditions): easy access via the Croix gondola! Start from the footbridge below the Croix de Chamrousse (on the Robert lakes side) 300m after the picnic area on the left. ⚠ Shoes with CRAMPONS (OR SNOW SHOES) STRONGLY ADVISED on the access path from the Croix de Chamrousse to the footbridge.

Free of charge. Access to the top of the resort is via the La Croix cable car at Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin: in summer, a pedestrian pass (one-way or round-trip); in winter, a ski pass or a pedestrian pass.

From Grenoble: car or bus + cable car ascent or hike to La Croix summit + approach walk
Resort road access: Rocade Sud > exit no. 2 "Uriage" > Route départementale 111 (RD 111) Seiglières side.
Recommended parking: parking Henry Duhamel (P7), avenue Henry Duhamel (200 meters and about 2 minutes' walk - pay attention in winter).
Public transport :
Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin stop:
- regular bus service all year round: N93 (to/from Grenoble), "Chamrousse 1650" stop (merger of former T87, Transaltitude, Destination neige Skibus / nature Estibus 707).
Good to know - another stop less than 500m away (Place de Belledonne, near the Tourist Office):
- transportation by reservation on weekdays excluding public holidays: Flexo 57 (to/from Uriage), "Chamrousse - Le Recoin" stop (former TAD TouGo - line G701)
- winter resort shuttle: "Télécabine (1650)" stop (to/from Chamrousse 1750 - Roche Béranger and Chamrousse 1600 - plateau de l'Arselle/nordic area)
