Visible entre Entraigues et le col d'Ornon, la cascade est accessible à pied ou en voiture par une route forestière étroite. Elle jaillit d'un goulot rocheux et plonge de 75 mètres vers d'autres torrents qui bondissent dans un site grandiose.
Au départ de la cascade de Confolens vous pouvez monter à Confolens le Haut puis à la cabane de la Selle.
