The 72nd edition of France's oldest lumberjack competition takes place in 2025.
Objective: chop up as many logs as possible with an axe. Activities linked to woodworking, pastoralism, sheepdogs, craft fair.
The "Passe-Partout" association organizes the oldest wood festival in Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin.
Lumberjack competition: elimination rounds with fallen logs and final with standing trees. Wood and forestry-related events all weekend: demonstrations are announced throughout the day on site.
SATURDAY
From 2pm:
- Doubles pétanque competition
- Craft fair, regional products, jumble sale
- Passe-Partout chainsaw sculpture
- Passe-Partout competition
SUNDAY
- From 10 a.m.: craft fair, regional products, jumble sale
- From 2pm: Lumberjack competition
- From 6pm: prize-giving and tombola draw
- Evening: open-air ball and fireworks display
