Notre Dame church is the parish church of the former commune of Jallieu: the church that we can see today was built in 1859 and follows its predecessor which dates from the 12th century and was destroyed.
Elle offre dans quelques unes de ses parties un des plus beaux types architectoniques du style romano-byzantin. Des colonnettes variées, qui garnissent le pourtour de l'ancien chœur, ont été conservées et sont aujourd'hui placées dans les deux chapelles latérales de la nouvelle église.
