Rebuilt in 1852 in the neo-Romanesque style, Saint-Egrève church retains three bays of the former nave from its medieval predecessor, replaced by a chevet. Its stalls are protected under the Monuments Historiques label.
An ancient church, "sancti Agripani", mentioned in the pouillé of the diocese of Grenoble in the 1110s, contained the relics of this holy bishop of Le Puy, martyred in the 7th century; a major pilgrimage followed.
The present building, almost entirely rebuilt in 1852 (date on the pediment), comprises two parts: The three bays of the former nave, preserved to act as the chevet, link up with the rebuilt part, built on the site of the former choir, which was probably demolished.
Work carried out in 2012 shows that the small public garden on the south side of the church was once the parish cemetery.
