Nestling between the river and the vineyards, La Gerine welcomes guests at the heart of the Côte-Rôtie area for a wine stay including guided winery visits.
Welcome to the heart of the Côte-Rôtie wine area near Vienne and Lyon. Nine and Bernard welcome visitors like old friends to their big house perched on the hilltop for an enjoyable stay between the river and the vineyards.
From the house in the open countryside, you can set off to visit the Gallo-Roman town of Vienne, the Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu wine areas and a whole host of sights and cultural venues in the region.
4 rooms are available:
- Vanilla: a spacious duplex with twin beds that can be brought together as a double bed. Toilets, bathroom with shower and 2 wash basins. Upstairs you can enjoy a spot of reading, and there is a sofa bed for a third guest if needed. A big patio provides a panoramic view over the vineyards and the countryside.
- Apricot: a spacious duplex accommodating up to 4 guests with a double bed downstairs and twin beds upstairs. The whitewashed walls are painted in soft apricot colours and the duplex has some fine antique furniture. In the large patio, you can watch the sun go down above the dry stone walls. Toilets, bathroom with a shower and 2 wash basins.
- Lavender: a very romantic spot with heaps of charm. The light filtres gently through the window draped with linen curtains, with the Château d’Ampuis in the distance. A large room with attractively burnished antique furniture and a small double bed (140 x 190). Toilets, bathroom with a shower and 2 wash basins.
- Liquorice: 1950s-style decoration with vintage twin beds and a wardrobe with a grey patina. You can watch the sun rise from the large patio opening onto the vineyards. Toilets, bathroom with shower and wash basin.
Generous breakfasts featuring home-made jam and pastries are served in the lounge or in the patio in season.
